Mrs Geall's
Eclipse Aluminium Windows & Solid Roof Extension
Giving a stunning 1930’s home a cleverly subtle update.
The very ageing, leaky leaded windows have been substituted for modern slimframe aluminium windows.
Mrs Geall’s 1930’s home has altered very little in its appearance over the years, but the leaded windows had become an issue as they were really difficult to clean and age had resulted in gaps emerging in their frames. One major worry she had about upgrading the windows was that they were mullioned, which could potentially cause further issues.
When looking at replacement window options, Mrs Geall wanted a design that would bring extra light into the house. The slimframe aluminium windows in our Eclipse collection seemed the perfect choice and would also give her an unrestricted view of her garden. Aluminium windows are low-maintenance too and exceptional at blocking out the weather.
Mrs Geall’s extension also needed some attention if she was to turn the space into a hobby room for painting watercolour pictures. After some dialogue with our team, she settled on a tiled roof extension, which promised to provide comfortable surroundings and a captivating garden view.
What quickly became apparent to Mrs Geall was how much quieter her home was after the installation of the new windows. They’re much simpler to open and close too, and when doing that, she no longer has to panic about them possibly falling out. She’s also seen the cost of her energy bills drop and was impressed that we returned to check on the windows a year on from fitting them.
