GOLDEN OAK ORANGERY
Installing an orangery is a proven way of improving the value and saleability of a house – that’s partly why this extension got the go-ahead.
It is entirely normally to grow a bit bored of your home after living in it for so many years, but that doesn’t mean you have to move to reinvigorate your excitement for home living. A home extension specialist like Amber Home Improvements could always do for you what we did here which was to install a brand new orangery.
You can have difficulty telling that this orangery hasn’t always been attached to the house, but we put that down to the authenticity of the brickwork and the Golden Oak finish, an exact replica of the coloured finish on the existing windows.
Because we included French doors in the extension, there is an equal split in terms of how much time the people who live here spend in their new orangery and their garden. Accommodating side panelling, the French doors provide a terrific garden view from the inside of the orangery, and the French doors at the opposite end to them give the occupants a lovely double opening when exiting the structure and heading back into the traditional part of the house.
The deep window cills have been taken advantage of with a display of ornaments and the spotlights in the internal pelmet accentuate them at night. To complete the look of the orangery, the piping, concealed guttering, rooftop peak and roof panelling also has a Golden Oak effect.
