All window and door solutions produced by Origin are brought to life in a dedicated factory located in Buckinghamshire, England.

Origin controls everything to do with its windows – from obtaining the necessary components to the customer guarantee – so you’re assured of the uppermost quality and windows that will last. Amber is a massive champion of Origin.

In a strength and security test, Origin Windows surpass most replacement windows currently sold in the UK, especially those built from wood.

Incorporated into an Origin Window is the Yale Encloser system, which sees cylindrical cams engaged into the window keeps for top-rate security.

Origin’s hinges* satisfy PAS 24:2012 and eclipse current security standards. They can also sustain heavy loads and conquer the comprehensive cycle test that residential windows must fulfil. Other secure components included as standard are hinge guards, crimped frames and locking handles.

It goes without saying that you can have white and black but delve further into the finishes and get ready to uncover a host of metallics and pastels. No colour is missed out.

During the process of window buying, one of the most difficult judgements you face is settling on a material. Origin is a purely aluminium manufacturer and with good reason, several of them in fact. The strength of aluminium is close to incomparable, and its malleability helps you shape the material to fashion super-slim sightlines. Despite weighing 67% less than steel, aluminium still has exceptional might.

Premium is a justified term as this aluminium faces up to everything and never ages.

You may be unaware that aluminium isn’t a naturally thermally efficient material. Origin’s Research and Development team has cleverly resolved that, designing the Origin aluminium structure to encompass thermal polyamide breaks. They stifle the amount of heat transfer from inside to outside and are supplemented with weathertight seals as a weather guard. Origin windows keep the room temperature continuously manageable and drive down energy costs.

How would we rate Origin windows? Very highly, no question, and it’s undeniable when you consider their U-Values. A triple glazed, argon-filled, Origin OW-70 Slimline window has a U-Value of just 1.2 and the OW-80 Premium window, specified the same, as well as featuring Aerogel, has a U-Value of 0.8.

Use a non-abrasive cloth or sponge submerged in warm water and a mild household detergent to clean the inside of the Origin OW-70 and OW-80 Premium frames. We advise against using paraffin-based cleaning solutions and non-abrasive liquid cream cleaners.

To tackle stubborn stains, try an ink rubber. Refrain from rubbing too profusely as it could damage the material. Frames are best dried down with a soft cloth. Start with upstairs windows first when working outside, spraying the frames down with a hose and water and using the mild household detergent. For the final wipe down of the frames, use a damp cloth.
